Procedure for writing Open Book Exam 

The open book exam expected to be conducted in June 2021.

                        Anna University will conduct again the end-semester exams of November/December 2020, the results of which were released in February this year.

                            Students, who had paid the exam fees, may retake the exams and those who had not paid the exam fees during the previous exam session may pay the fees and take the exams, Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy announced on Monday.

                            Candidates who had appeared for the exams and had qualified can also take the exams. Students who had paid the fees for the exams are exempted from paying the fees again. The decision to allow all students to re-take the test followed complaints against evaluation, resulting in many students failing or scoring low marks. The students, especially those in the pre-final and final years were concerned as it would affect their job prospects, according to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Mr. Ponmudy said the exams would be held online for three hours.

The students should write their examinations..............

1)Should write in A4 size paper.

2)A maximum of 15 papers (both sides can be used) 30 pages can be used.

3)Only with Blue or Black pen and no typing or printing. No pencil usage. Even diagrams can be drawn with pen/sketch (for clarity while scanning).

4)Register Number, Name of the student and subject code should be written on the top of each page.

5)Date of Exam, Page Number and Signature of the student should be on the bottom of the each page. 

After completing the exam...............

1)  Answer script must be scanned by the student and should be uploaded in the respective classroom as a single pdf file with file name: Register Number-Subject Code.

2)Hardcopy of the answer script (WITHOUT FOLDING) must be sent to "Respective college principal " either by speed post or registered post.

3)Hardcopy should be sent in "A4 Cloth Line Cover"

4)For Forenoon session, hardcopy must be sent on the same day.

5)For Afternoon session, hardcopy must be sent by the immediate next day.
